Even Obama’s DOJ says that the Holy Land Foundation’s bid to get the court to vacate the convictions of five men convicted of illegally routing millions of dollars to Hamas through the Dallas-based charity “strains credulity.”
According to the InvestigativeProject.org, A new attorney claims the five former Holy Land Foundation (HLF) officials filed a petition in October claiming that, if not for the mistakes made by their counsel, Mohamed El-Mezain, Shukri Abu Baker, Ghassan Elashi, Mufid Abdulqader and Abdelrahman Odeh would be free men. Instead, they are serving sentences ranging from 15 to 65 years in federal prison.
According to the FBI website, from its inception, HLF existed to support Hamas. Before HLF was designed as a Specially Designated Terrorist by the Treasury Department and shut down in December 2001, it was the largest U.S. Muslim charity. It was based in Richardson, Texas, a Dallas suburb. The “material support statute,” as it is commonly referred to, was enacted in 1996 as part of the Antiterrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act. That statute recognizes that money is fungible, and that money in the hands of a terrorist organization—even if for so-called charitable purposes—supports that organization’s overall terrorist objectives.
Remember, at the HLF trial the infamous Muslim Brotherhood “Explanatory Memorandum” that was entered into evidence in the trial? Below is the chilling words found in this document:
The process of settlement is a “Civilization-Jihadist Process” with all the word means. The Ikhwan must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and “sabotaging” its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.
They tell us EXACTLY what they are going to do, yet foolish nincompoops continue to bury their heads in the sand. That just means we have to keep pushing harder to get the information out about radical Islam.
Until next time,
