The Learning Channel may have learned a hard lesson itself by succumbing to the desire to be Politically Correct and Multicultural. Well, it has backfired on them, and we are happy. Patriotic Americans wrote and called TLC and complained about this Islamic propaganda show. So far, 18 out of 20 advertisers on the show backed out of their endorsements.

One episode follows a Muslim police officer as he protects a group of Christians protesting the annual Islamic Festival in Dearborn. TLC bends over backwards to depict American Muslims as peaceful and reasonable without showing the truth about radical Islam. However, the example TLC gives its viewers of Christianity is one of hate and intolerance as the American Decency Association blog reports:
However, they (the Christian protestors) also shouted, “Mohammed was a pedophile!” which is a historically verifiable fact. Mohammed forced a six year-old girl into marrying him and consummated the marriage when she was nine. TLC, unsurprisingly, did not provide that context, allowing the unaware audience to assume that Christians are crazy and hateful.
In one episode a football team practices from 10:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. because some of the team members are Muslim and they can not eat during the day in observance of Ramadan. However, as noted on the American Decency Association blog, the same privileges are not afforded to Christian students. Here is an excerpt:
In this week’s episode, the public school allowed it’s football practices to be scheduled in compliance with the month of Ramadan – which means practicing from ten o’clock at night to five o’clock in the morning – in spite of the fact that there are non-Muslims on the team. This is “safest for the majority of the kids,” the coach explains to a concerned Christian parent, because Muslims cannot eat or drink during the day in the course of Ramadan.
Just to put that in perspective, a valedictorian may not pray in the name of Jesus Christ during a graduation ceremony because that would violate the “separation of church and state,” but a public school can force its students to observe part of an Islamic ritual fasting period.
It looks like we won this one gang. If you want to add your name to the growing list of people who are opposed to this Islamic propaganda program, please click on this link and it will take you to an e-mail form that will be sent to the show’s remaining advertisements. Keep up the good work and don’t let them get away with it! We are making a difference.
Until next time,
